Jewish Ethnic and Religious Cleansings
In the process of forming the modern state of Israel, many Palestinians were forced without compromise to leave their homes, ending up in refugee camps outside Palestine, or in those parts of Palestine that did not come under Israeli control during the First Palestinian War 1947-1949. The reason for this, was the Zionist goal of creating a democratic state with a Jewish majority.
