Gilakis
Iranian people counting about 3.7 million, living mainly in the Gilan province, as well as in the neighbouring Mazandaran province, both in the north of Iran, bordering the Caspian Sea.
The main city of the Gilaki is Rasht, the capital of Gilan.
They speak Gilaki, although an increasing part speak Persian. The Gilaki are practically all Muslims, belonging to the Shi'i branch.
