Language of the Kassites, a people that ruled Babylonia from 16th to the 12th centuries BCE. The language has never been classified, it may have been a language isolate.
Many Kassites living in Babylonia used Akkadian.
There is little available data on Kassite, no text in Kassite has ever been discovered. Some 300 Kassite words have been found in Babylonian documents, with agricultural and technical terms, names of colors etc., as well as a list of personal names.
