Vafsi

Iranian (northwestern) language native to Iran, counting a total of 20,000 (2009 estimate). It is mainly spoken in the Markazi province, centred to the villages of Vafs, midway between Qazvin and Hamadan.
It is close to Talysh, and in particular Ashtiani. Modern Persian also has great influence on Vafsi. The verbal system only has present and past tenses, 11 vowels and the same consonants as Persian.
Vafsi is not a written language, and Vafs speakers have good conduct of Persian, which is what they use for writing.
