Temple of Khnum, Aswan, Egypt

The nicest of the wall-paintings showing the preferred god of Aswan; Khnum.

Considering its many additions, and long life, very little remains of the Temple of Khnum. Its history stretches from the Old Kingdom to Ptolemaic times.
The temple had its arrival at the Nilometres in the east, and the temple itself lies on a high mound over the rest of the island and the river.
As a matter of fact, it is easy to believe that the temples of Satet represented the temple structure of Khnum, since these are in a much better condition.
