Ruins of Yebu, Aswan, Egypt

Finding your way around Yebu isn't easy. It is quite difficult to tell what belongs to the ancient town, and what is part of a temple. Yebu proper lies squeezed in between the Temple of Khnum and the temples of Satet on one side, and covered the field south of the Temple of Khnum. On the southern side, very little remains (see lower photo).
Yabu was the home of a Jewish colony from the 6th century BCE. Jewish documents have been found, but never a trace of their temple to Yahweh.
