GIZA /
Practicalities

Eat and Sleep
Most of the hotels near the Pyramids cater for charter tourists and have a relatively high price level. There are few places to eat near the Pyramids.

Transportation
Public transportation is all you really need to get to the Pyramid area, and back to the centre of Cairo. The main station in Cairo is just south of the Midan Tahrir, just ask around. If you are a group travelling together, getting a taxi will be a wise choice.

Going Next
(As seen from the Pyramids of Giza; central Giza lies much closer to central Cairo).
10 km northeast: Cairo
10 km southeast: Abu Sir Pyramids
15 km southeast: Saqqara
