Tomb of Peshedu, Workers' Village, Luxor, Egypt


The tomb of Peshedu is one of the largest at the Workers' Village, with two chambers. The most remarkable motif here is the deceased praying under the tree of regeneration (top photo to the left of the door). Right beneath this flows the river of Amuntit, which was the place where human souls would be judged.
The most beautiful part is at the end wall, depicting pharaoh on a chair, being honored by others, possibly with a small Peshedu under to the left (see picture below).
