The Temple of Ramses 3 was originally built on the outside the Temple of Amon. But with the completion of the 1st Pylon, it has become an intrinsic part of the larger Temple of Amon. Its original function was to serve as a barque shrine, a function it shared with the Triple shrine of Seti 2. It was designed as a miniature of the Medinet Habu. It has 3 rooms, with a small hypostyle hall as the conclusion. The Osiride statues of Ramses 3 in the open air court (top photo) are crude but nice.
