There are some other monoliths nearby, like the Aicha monolith (picture to the left).Ben Amera is one of the best attractions on the route for the desert train between Nouadhibou and Zouerate.

Nothing, go for camping and bring your own provisions.
Transportation
The only likely way of getting out here is with the Nouadibou-Choum train. It often will allow for short stops, but there might not be much time for climbing the monolith.
