The area is so tiny, but gives a hint on the small scale development that the Spanish managed to begin while governing this region. The cathedral comes with the obligatory park, while there is an example of more profane architecture right across the street.
Dakhla does have more examples of the former Spanish presence, but these are most of the time military buildings.
