BASICS:
Getting there: Oujda

At the very present, the border point just east of Oujda, the main overland crossing point between Morocco and Algeria, is closed. When it opens again, crossing this way is easy in respect of finding transportation, but you will have to change buses or taxis at the border, and walk across. Bringing your own car, is reported to be unproblematic when coming from Morocco, but when coming from Algeria to Morocco, check if there should be any particular formalities. Formalities at the border are quite streamlined, but at times there can be a congestion, so you should be ready to wait a little bit at times. At the Algerian side, you will normally use Tlemcen as your starting point, or as the destination.
