CHEMTOU:
Amphitheatre
Amphitheatre, Chemtou, Tunisia

The amphitheatre was most likely built for the prisoners working the quarries. It is located far from the city itself, and is rather small and built from inferior material. Today, a few families live almost on top of it, and it is slightly hard to distinguish which parts are original and which belong to modern times. But from the mountain top of the Numidian altar and Roman temple, you can clearly see the oval indentation.
