A few decades ago, Korbous was a very chic place, and it is really easy to tell. But the last generation has not been all that favourable to the village. Or perhaps it really is the improved living conditions that brought too many ordinary Tunisians out here to make the elite feel like the real elite when coming to Korbous? Anyway, while paint is falling off the most central buildings, new (and not cheap) holiday apartments are being built in the cliffs above.
