KSAR EZZAHRA:
The inner square
This is the part of Ksar Ezzahra that is most worth the visit. It is in excellent condition, and there many fascinating architectural details. Its shape is almost a perfect square, but in every corner there is a short and narrow passageway that leads two or three metres in from the square.
Right in the middle there is a single tree, minimalistic in an almost modern sense, and perfectly matching the simple beauty of the surrounding ghurfas.
