ZAMA MINOR:
Cisterns and House of Mosaics
Zama Minor, Tunisia

Zama Minor, Tunisia

Apart from the main field, there are two more sections to take a look at. The finest is clearly the House of Mosaics, of which I have no photos, as the caretaker came up to me explaining that photographing was not allowed. Parts of the mosaics are well preserved and colourful. The water system of the house is also quite visible. And the setting is superb, placed on the tip of the cliff.
The cisterns are less spectacular, but there is one thing to look out for, the plaster of the inner part of the tubes is well intact. You may easily ask yourself if this is a modern addition, but it is not.
